Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently midway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial major achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
